Dr. Zolomphi Nkowani has 18years post qualification experience (PQE) in law practice and academia both in private and public sectors. He is the managing partner. His practice specialism is in International economic law, in particular international trade, commercial and corporate law. He has served as Chief State Advocate and head of civil litigation in the Ministry of Justice and Constitutional Affairs, Malawi.
He holds the following qualifications among others: LL.B (Hons), Mlw, LL.M (IEL), Warwick, ICSA (Cand), (UK), PhD, Salford (UK), Pg. Cert, (DSU), Dip, F.R.S.A, F.R.S.PH (UK), Currently he is a consultant to the China-Africa legal training base for the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) and adjunct lecturer in WTO and Trade law, International Competition law and International Commercial law at the law School, University of Malawi. He serves as external examiner for Doctoral studies in International commercial law at the University of South Africa (UNISA).He is a member of the Scientific committee on the Harmonisation of business laws in the SADC region at Eduardo Mondelane University, Mozambique and Fellow of the Royal Society for the promotion of Arts and Commerce (UK) as well as society of legal scholars. Formerly lecturer in law, University of Salford (UK), Lancashire Law School, University of Central Lancashire, (UK) and Research Fellow, Universities of Liverpool and Manchester (UK). He also serves as editor of the Malawi Law Journal. His research interests lie in International trade, SADC law, International economic law, financial services law, Intellectual property and healthcare law as well as Occupational Health and Safety law. He is widely published in his field of specialization
